Seagate rolls out 1.5 TB external whopper | www.theregister.co.uk
Seagate Technology introduced a 1.5 TB 2.5-inch external disk drive with 4 disks per drive. Earlier in 2010 Seagate and other companies introduced 3 TB 3.5-inch HDDs with 4 disks. September 20, 2010
The current generation of the Apple iPad contains up to 64 GB of flash memory . Other tablet computer (slate) products are in design that also contain flash memory. Is 64 GB enough storage capacity, particularly for high definition movies that can be 3 GB in size or larger? A reasonable price for tablet computers makes it hard to include more than 64 GB of flash memory although 160 GB + of a small form factor HDD would cost much less. Could we see HDDs in new tablet computers?
