As traffic moves indoors, so does revenue meaning that indoor coverage becomes business critical for operators. This becomes particularly important with data services, and with LTE license being issued in frequencies as high as 2.6 GHz with a promise of 100 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload speeds per cell.

I would like to share status and trends on SBC market and point potential space for new SBC vendors in this area. So what is main reason for it? Data traffic is exploding in all of networks, specially at mobile operators those offers flat rates and for sure exploding of smartphones on the market those are creating additional load and stress to the network, so SBC is critical element in such process which can take control over data and be main guy in this game.

Seagate Technology introduced its GoFlex Satellite Mobile Wireless Storage device offering 500 GB storage capacity through a WiFi connection. The battery powered external hard drive allows users to take up to 500 GB of content with them and access it from their iPad, iPhone or other wireless iOS device. The product release is planned for July 2011. Technology originally developed for DAVE several years ago finally finds a market where it fills a need.
