This action by BP should not come as much of a surprise to anyone. It is reasonable to assume that while BP carries the front page burden of this spill, actions of this nature should be expected. They are reasonable and within the legal and financial boundaries of corporate contracts.Once the spill is contained, it is also reasonable to find that years of legal actions between all parties involved in the rig and this particular well will be taken and pursued.

It is reported that China accounted for 72 percent of the global IPO proceeds raised in 2009, Almost half the companies that went public in cleantech last year were in China, with 11 IPOs in the fourth quarter alone raising a record combined $3.1 billion.The largest cleantech IPO of 2009 was China Longyuan Electric Power Group which raised $2.23 billion on the Hong Kong exchange. China Huaneng Group, the country's largest power producer is to raise $1 billion from a Hong Kong IPO this year.
