The Position

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager will play a key role in building the marketing department at GLG. In this role the senior marketing manager will develop new programs, including planning the program, developing the creative/tools, implementation and results analysis. The marketing manager will develop and maintain working relationships with sales, product managers, and customers to achieve sales and marketing objectives. This is a hands-on role for a professional with a passion for creating high-quality marketing materials and programs. This position requires exceptional writing, copy editing and marketing materials creation skills, a high degree of flexibility and a desire to be part of an ambitious marketing team.

Candidates must have a proven record of accomplishment in conceiving and delivering new marketing tools or programs that have made a significant impact on sales. Knowledge of business-to-business marketing, financial services, enterprise software, or consulting industry, are required.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales and product leaders to develop and execute lead generation campaigns including direct mail, web, e-marketing
  • Develop and execute renewals, up- sell, and cross-sell campaigns
  • Create sales training materials for current solutions in existing and new markets
  • Develop sales kits (brochures, PPT decks, scripts, software demos) to support new markets and product launches
  • Collaborate with Web team to ensure cohesive communication of GLG positioning
  • Build client end-user training materials
  • Collaborate with CRM team to track and analyze the result of key marketing campaigns
  • Participate in special marketing projects, as requested

Skills

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in professional services or high tech marketing
  • Undergraduate bachelors degree required. Marketing, communications, or English major preferred
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience in lead generation, marketing communications, and sales tool creation
  • Ability to translate marketing and sales requirements into action plans and deliverables
  • High level of intelligence, initiative, energy and resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
  • Ability to multi-task and work to short deadlines
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment
  • Highest levels of integrity and professionalism
